0 commission

Your own bookings always cost 0 commission

The guest who books you directly is yours, not a marketplace's. So Goboblo never charges commission on your own bookings, however often a regular comes back.

  • 0 commission on your own bookings, always
  • Same $29 on a full Friday or a quiet Tuesday
  • A fee applies only to payments you collect
Analytics in Goboblo: where guests came from — your website, Instagram, QR code, phone — and the share of own bookings with 0 commission
Low flat fee or per-cover

What do you pay to get started?

This is where the models split. In the UK, OpenTable runs around £299 a month plus ~£2 per cover, and ResDiary, the cheapest fixed rival there, starts at about £99 a month. Goboblo keeps booking at $29, locked for you, and charges 0 commission on your own guests.

Other systems
  • Higher flat entry (from ~£99 a month)
  • A fee per cover on network bookings
  • Lunch card and gift cards cost extra
  • The price can rise for you too
Goboblo
  • Booking $29 a month, locked for you
  • 0 commission on your own bookings
  • Lunch card free until 150 guests
  • The increase only applies to new customers
Transaction fees

What transaction fees does Goboblo charge?

As few as possible — and they are all listed here. Your own bookings always cost 0. You pay only when you earn: a small fee per text sent, a low percentage on gift cards sold and on payments you collect yourself. No-show protection carries no fee from us.

FlowFee
Your own bookings 0 always free
SMS reminders $0.18/text per text sent — email reminders are always free
Gift cards 0.9% per gift card sold — no monthly fee
Experiences and events 3% per seat sold — free experiences cost nothing
Booking add-ons 3% per add-on purchased
No-show protection (deposits) 0 no fee from Goboblo

SMS reminders

$0.18 per text sent, added to your monthly invoice. Email reminders are always free. You switch texts on or off per venue — if you'd rather not pay for texts, we send email instead.

Gift cards

Goboblo takes 0.9% per gift card sold — no monthly fee. The money goes straight to your restaurant's own Stripe account. Stripe's card fee for your country (in the UK from 1.5% + 20p per purchase) is deducted there — just like with any card terminal.

No-show protection (deposits)

No fee from Goboblo. The guest's card is saved at booking and only charged if they don't turn up. Stripe's card fee only applies when a charge is actually made — if the guest shows up, the protection costs nothing.

The percentages apply to money you collect yourself; texts go on your monthly invoice. Card payments land in your own Stripe account, and you pay Stripe's card fee there — like with any card terminal. No hidden fees.

The lunch card

How much does the lunch card cost?

The lunch card starts free. The fee only kicks in as your guest base grows, so the price follows how many guests use the card — not a clock. Every guest who uses the card counts, and keeps counting — the number only grows.

Guests on the cardPrice
Up to 150 guests Free free to start

501–1,500 guests $9/mo

Pricing questions

What operators ask about the price

How much does restaurant reservation software cost?

Booking in Goboblo costs $29 a month, and the price is locked for life for you. You pay 0 commission on your own bookings. The lunch card is free until 150 guests use it. No lock-in, first month free. See how the models differ on restaurant reservation software.

What does "lock in your price" mean?

Join now and you pay $29 a month for booking, and that price stays the same for you, for life. We raise the price for new customers later, not for you. There is no lock-in, so you are never tied down; you simply keep a lower price for as long as you stay a customer.

Do you charge commission on my own bookings?

No. Your own bookings are always free, so a sold-out Friday never raises your bill. OpenTable adds a per-cover fee on top of its monthly fee (around £2 in the UK), and TheFork takes commission on each cover. With Goboblo you keep the guest relationship and the margin instead of renting both from a marketplace.

Is the lunch card really free?

Yes. The lunch card is free until 150 guests actually use it. As more guests use it, a low fee kicks in that follows your guest base: $4 a month up to 500 guests, $9 up to 1,500 and $25 above that. Every guest who uses the card counts, and keeps counting — the number only grows. It works on top of any booking system.

Can I get both booking and the lunch card?

Yes. Take booking for $29 a month and add the lunch card — it is free until 150 guests use it, on the same invoice. There is no separate bundle to buy and no extra fee to switch it on; you simply run both, and every booking and stamp writes to one guest record you own.

Are there hidden fees or lock-in?

No. Booking costs $29 a month, with no setup fee and no lock-in, and the first month is free. You pay a small percentage only on payments you collect yourself: gift cards 0.9% per card sold, experiences 3% per seat sold, booking add-ons 3% per purchase. SMS reminders cost $0.18 per text sent — email is always free. No-show protection carries no fee from Goboblo.

What do SMS reminders, gift cards and no-show protection cost?

SMS reminders cost $0.18 per text sent, added to your monthly invoice — email reminders are always free, and you switch texts on or off per venue. Gift cards cost 0.9% per card sold, with no monthly fee; the money goes straight to your own Stripe account and Stripe's card fee for your country (in the UK from 1.5% + 20p per purchase) is deducted there, like with any card terminal. No-show protection is free from Goboblo: the guest's card is saved at booking and only charged if they don't turn up, and Stripe's card fee only applies when a charge is actually made.

How does Goboblo pricing compare to OpenTable or ResDiary?

In the UK, OpenTable typically blends a monthly fee (around £299) with roughly £2 per cover and a transaction fee on network bookings. ResDiary is commission-free but starts at about £99 a month. Goboblo keeps booking at a flat $29 a month with 0 commission on the guests you seat — the cheapest fixed entry in the UK. See OpenTable alternatives.
