Terms of service
In effect from 1 August 2026.
These are the terms for using Goboblo. We wrote them so you can read them yourself, without a lawyer. Every rule comes with its reason, right next to it. Wondering about something? Write to us — we answer.
1. What Goboblo is
Goboblo is a system for restaurants: table booking, digital stamp cards and memberships, a QR menu, Order & pickup, gift cards, experiences and your own website. The service is run by Strumpbudet (Swedish company reg. 880519-5115), Vestagatan 5, 416 48 Gothenburg, Sweden. Reach us at help@goboblo.com.
2. Account, subscriptions and cancelling
You start free: booking is free up to 25 bookings a month per venue, the stamp card until 150 guests use it, and the website is free on an address with us (your-restaurant.goboblo.site). Paid plans are bought per venue and current prices are always on the pricing page — if numbers ever differ, that page wins.
Subscriptions have no lock-in. You cancel whenever you like under Settings → Subscription, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for. We do not refund started periods — and we never charge for time after you cancel. There is one exception, and it is in the next section.
3. Domain purchases — the exception to "no lock-in"
If you buy a domain through us, we pay the full year's domain fee up front, and the first month of the Website plan is free on top. That is why the Website plan runs for two months when we buy the domain for you. After those two months you cancel as usual. You approve this in the app before the purchase is made — we never buy a domain without your yes first.
The domain is yours, not ours. It is registered in your name. If you cancel, you take the domain to any provider you like, and we help with the move. While you are a customer we handle renewals and the technical side; when the plan ends, we stop paying the renewals and you renew the domain with your new provider.
4. Payments and fees
Subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment partner Stripe. Variable fees (texts, gift cards, experiences, add-ons) are itemised on the pricing page and added to the monthly invoice or taken per transaction. Card fees for your guests' payments are taken by Stripe in your own Stripe account — that money never passes through us.
You are the seller to your guest. When a guest pays for an order, a gift card or an experience, your restaurant is selling and receiving the money. Goboblo is the technical platform. Receipts, VAT and bookkeeping are therefore your responsibility as the seller — we give you the records.
5. Guest data and privacy
Your guest data is yours. You decide over the information about your guests and you are the data controller for it. Goboblo processes the data only on your behalf and only to deliver the service — we never sell guest data and never use it for our own marketing.
To run the service we use a small number of subprocessors: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), 46elks (texts), Supabase (database), Vercel and Railway (hosting), and Anthropic and OpenAI (the AI features). Data is processed within the EU/EEA or in countries with an approved level of protection. Guests can unsubscribe from messages with a one-click link in every email, and request deletion through you as the restaurant.
6. Your responsibility
What you show guests — menu, prices, allergens, opening hours, offers — has to be right. You are also responsible for your business following the laws that apply to it, such as cash register and food information rules. We build the service so it is easy to do things right, but the responsibility for your business is yours.
7. Our responsibility
We run Goboblo with the goal that the service is always up, and you can follow operations on our status page. But no service is flawless: if Goboblo is down, we do not compensate lost sales or other indirect losses. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the last twelve months. That cap is what lets us keep prices low for everyone.
8. Who owns what
Your photos, texts and brand are yours. We may show them in the service — that is what it is for. Texts and images the AI creates from your material belong to you. On the website's free tier, the "Powered by Goboblo" line in the footer is part of the deal; it goes away with the Website plan. Goboblo's brand, code and design are ours.
9. When you leave
If you cancel, you take what is yours with you: guest data can be exported, you move the domain (section 3), and paid time runs out before anything is switched off. Published websites are unpublished when the plan or free account ends. We can suspend an account for non-payment or misuse of the service — but never without contacting you first.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change something material in these terms, we email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, so you have time to decide. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. Small clarifications that do not affect you can be made directly — everything shows in the change log below.
11. Law and disputes
Swedish law governs this agreement, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts. We do not think it will come to that — write to us first, and we will sort it out like people.
