Stamp cards and booking for cafés

The stamp card sits on the guest's phone, not in their wallet. You scan at the till, the tenth coffee is on you — and you can see who actually comes back.

A stamp card for a café sits on the guest's phone instead of in their wallet. Staff scan the QR at the till, the stamp goes on, and the tenth coffee is on you. The card cannot be lost, and you can see who actually comes back.

What it looks like for you

You can see how many use the card — and when it starts costing

The free tier is not a trial on time, it is a count of guests. The meter shows where you are, and the next step on the ladder sits right beside it. You do not have to do anything when you pass it — the price follows on its own.

The difference from a paper card

A paper card works — right up until it is left in another jacket. Then the guest starts over, or gives up on it. And you never find out who actually came back.

Common questions

What café owners ask

How does the stamp card work at the till?

The guest shows their card on the phone, you scan the QR — or type in the member number if their battery is dead. The stamp goes on straight away and the guest sees it. No app to download, no paper card getting soggy in a bag.

What does it cost?

The stamp card is free until 150 guests are using it. Only after that does it start costing anything, and then it is $4 a month. So you can run it for real, with real guests, before you pay anything. The full ladder is on the pricing page.

Do cafés really take bookings?

Some do — a coffee group, a booked sofa on Saturday, a children's party in the back room. So booking is there, but kept simple: the guest picks a time, you get the notification. It is free up to 25 bookings a month, then $29 for unlimited. If you do not need it, you simply leave it switched off.

We only have a Facebook page today. Is that enough?

It does not show up when somebody searches for a café in your town. You get a real website built from the menu and opening hours you add, free on an address with us (your-restaurant.goboblo.site) — no time limit, no card. Want your own address? The website plan includes the domain.

Can the guest pay for their coffee on the phone?

Payment on the premises stays in your till. A purchase the guest makes on their phone while sitting in your café counts as a serving service that has to be registered in your cash register in the Nordics — we are not putting that requirement on you. The guest can read the menu through the QR menu on the table, but the bill is rung up as usual.

What about guests who stop coming?

You can see them. A card stuck on four stamps for three months is a guest who has drifted off, and that list can be picked out and sent an offer. That is the difference from a paper card — you know who comes back and who does not.

Want to see the card with your own name on it?

Create an account and the card is there, ready for your colours. It is free up to 150 guests — you get to see whether it works before it costs anything.
